TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the services provided by Crow Film Lab (“we”, “us”, “our”), a Brisbane-based, one-person film lab operating in Australia. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Service Description

We provide film developing, scanning, and related analog photography services for 35mm, 120, and large format film. All services are performed by hand, with care, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Turnaround Time

We aim to process and dispatch all orders next business day for orders received before 3pm AEST. Turnaround excludes weekends and Australian public holidays. Rush service is available upon request for an additional fee.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Sending film to us: You may send film via Australia Post or drop off locally in South Bank, Brisbane (Tue/Wed/Fri, 9am-6pm). We are not liable for loss or damage during transit to our lab.
  • Return shipping: Negatives can be returned via tracked Australia Post for an additional $10, picked up locally, or securely destroyed for privacy at your request. We are not liable for loss or damage during return transit.
  • Local pickup: All pickup arrangements must be confirmed in advance. Unclaimed negatives will be securely destroyed after 30 days.

Payment

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
  • Payment is required upfront before processing begins. We accept credit/debit card, bank transfer, and other secure payment methods.
  • No refunds will be issued once film processing has commenced, as the service is custom and perishable. In the event of our error in processing, we will offer a full refund or re-processing at no cost.

Film Liability

We take the utmost care with every roll of film, but analog film processing carries inherent risks. We are not liable for:
 
  • Damage or loss of film due to customer error, expired film, or pre-existing film damage
  • Loss of sentimental value, lost shots, or consequential damages
  • Delays caused by Australia Post, public holidays, or unforeseen circumstances

Negative Retention & Destruction

We will store your negatives for 30 days after processing. After this period, we will securely destroy negatives unless you have requested return shipping or local pickup.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services are provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees under the ACL.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland.
